4th China College Students “Internet +” Competition Finals

The AIRL won the 'silver prize' in the Competition

On October 15, the 4th China Internet + College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition ended in Xiamen. Sun Chunlan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the closing ceremony of the contest held on the afternoon of 15th, conveying the cordial greetings of General Secretary Xi Jinping to all the students who participated in the contest and the "Youth Red Dream Building Tour". The closing ceremony was presided over by Lin Huiqing, Vice Minister of Education.

China's "Internet +" College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition is the most influential major event jointly sponsored by the Ministry of education, the central network security and informatization leadership group, the national development and Reform Commission, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of engineering, the State Council poverty alleviation and Development Leading Group office, and the Communist Youth League Central Committee. It is also an important activity of the National "Shuangchuang" Week. The theme of this contest is "Creating a new era and taking root in China's land to write the Chinese chapter of life". There are 2 278 colleges and universities, 640,000 projects, 2.65 million students and more than 600 teams from more than 50 countries and regions participating in the contest. The number of students and projects registered for the contest exceeds the sum of the first three years (a total of 6.65 million students and more teams from more than 50 countries and regions participated in the contest). There are 50 gold medals and 100 silver medals. During the national finals, more than 1,000 enterprises and investment institutions supported the participation in the contest, and nearly 10,000 people went to Xiamen to participate in the contest.

In this competition, our laboratory takes the research direction of AI brain tumors as the main content, Professor Xie Bin, the director of the laboratory, as the instructor, Song Di, the third student of the laboratory, as the founder and all the staff of the whole laboratory jointly participate in the establishment of the project of "AIMADS Intelligent Medical Assistant Diagnosis System", aiming at solving the current traditional diagnosis of brain tumors. After the joint efforts of the team, we finally won the silver medal of the 4th China Internet + College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition National Final.
