Xiaoyu He for won the “Best Paper” at ACAIT 2018

From June 8, 2018 to June 10, 2018, laboratory member Xiaoyu He represented the laboratory in the ACAIT 2018 (Asian Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technology) held in Chongqing.

The Asian Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technology (ACAIT) is sponsored by the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence. The theme of the conference is "Intelligent Creation and Welcoming the Future". It invites academician Li Deyi, president of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence, Professor Cesare Alippi, Milan University of Technology, Italy, and Colin Harrison, Arizona State University, USA. Professor, Professor M. Osman Tokhi of South Bank University of London, UK and many other famous experts and scholars at home and abroad made brilliant thematic presentations.

During the conference, Xiaoyu He presented the accepted conference paper entitled "RGB-D Static Gesture Recognition Based on Convolutional Neural Network", and accepted questions and suggestions from Professor Hiroshi Sakai of Kyushu University of Technology, Japan. He said that the trip has been fruitful, exchanged academic developments with researchers around the world, and also learned the latest research progress in the field of artificial intelligence. Of all contributions to the conference, only 96 were accepted by the conference, with an employment rate of 39%. According to the evaluation of the Organizing Committee of the conference, He Xiaoyu's paper was selected as Best Student Paper of the conference.
