Bin Xie, male, from Changsha, Hunan Province, Ph.D., associate professor. In 2003, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Zhejiang University. In the same year, he entered the Institute of Information and Communication Engineering of Zhejiang University to pursue his doctorate directly. In December 2008, he received his PhD degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Zhejiang University. After graduation, he joined Zhongnan University as an introducing talent to teach. At present, he is one of the key members of the research team of intelligent science and technology of Central South University. He is the director of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Robot. He is mainly engaged in scientific research and teaching in the fields of machine vision, intelligent robots and medical image processing. From May 2011 to April 2014, the post-doctoral mobile station of Control Science and Engineering of Central South University continued its research work and engaged in image defogging technology. From July 2014 to July 2015, the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, as a national visiting scholar, engaged in multi-sensor fusion estimation of air pollution research.
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory(AIRL) affiliated to the School of Automation of CSU, is dedicated to the study of computer vision, intelligent robotics, medical image analysis and other fields. The lab is an important member of the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Intelligent Control, Central South University. It undertakes many scientific research projects from National Natural Science Foundation, Hunan Science and Technology Program, Changsha Science and Technology Program, Central South University Free Exploration Program, Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., China Mobile Communications Corporation, Changsha Koda Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. et al.
